How do you like training at the Fitness Lair? I used to be one of the laziest people, but the Fitness Lair has tapped into my hidden physical active side and changed my life. I actually look forward to class days, and even work out on my own when I'm not in class.
What makes The Fitness Lair different from other clubs or fitness centers? Without a doubt, it's the superior level of customer service I receive. Frank Nunez, the owner, knows my name, and the fitness trainers treat you with a great level of respect and encouragement. That type of support motivates me to work out to my full potential when I'm in class.
What would you say to someone thinking about training at the Fitness Lair?
Just try it and you will be hooked. The results speak for themselves. I've been attending group fitness classes since March of 2008, and have reached my weight loss goal of 36 pounds by the end of December. UNICUS has changed my life-in such a positive manner-I look and feel terrific. These days, I can't imagine life without UNICUS or physical fitness!

How do you like training at The Fitness Lair?
I love the classes; I fell great after I cool down. I have so much energy to do a lot of things that I didn't before. I'm not tired either. The classes kill me every time, but I keep coming back for more. I have more than 9 lives.
What makes The Fitness Lair different from other clubs or fitness centers?
They really do care about your overall fitness and well being. The instructors are great (Frank and Jud). You feel like you belong there. You don't feel like everyone is looking at you or judging you, like you might feel going to another workout place.

I love training at the Fitness Lair. It’s about getting down to the basics and working hard. For the first time in my life, I felt okay with pushing myself.Frank, made me feel like I could do it.I realized that the pain wouldn’t kill me; it would only make me stronger.Training at the Fitness Lair brought me a new healthy confidence and desire.I never could remember a time in my life where I wanted to workout. It made me not only want to workout, but workout hard.
What makes The Fitness Lair different from other clubs or fitness centers?
It’s not about the bells and whistles. It’s about work and results.I feel like many other clubs are hoping you’ll fail. They never check in, they leave you to your own devices and quite honestly, you feel they’ll be happier if you don’t show up.It’s just one more membership fee to them.At the Fitness Lair, they work with you, they want you to succeed. If you’re not happy, then, they’re not happy. They help you and teach you that this world of health is a journey. You’ll have ups and downs, but as long as you keep working, as long as you don’t give up, you’ll progress and complete that journey with flying colors.Like I said, the Fitness Lair is about work and results, but it’s also about persistence.Keeping at it, not giving up.It forces you to think differently, and trust me you’re health, you’re body and you’re mind will be rewarded.

How do you like training at The Fitness Lair? I absolutely love training at the Fitness Lair. It sounds corny, but the Fitness Lair has really changed my life. Until I came up to the Fitness Lair, I was not the kind of person to work out, much less to enjoy working out. In fact, it had been around 20 years since I had worked out when I started coming to Unicus. The staff at the Fitness Lair are able to push my limits, but in a way that I really enjoy. I've told them like it is when I played sports in high school, just without all the yelling.
What makes The Fitness Lair different from other clubs or fitness centers? The Fitness Lair has some very unique equipment in a very unique environment. I get to use some very nice equipment in a quiet, relaxed environment. The classes are all of a relatively small size and the instructors are very knowledgeable.
What would you say to someone thinking about training at The Fitness Lair? I would definitely go check out the Fitness Lair. The staff are very good at what they do, and everybody has a great attitude. It is very different than any other gym I've ever been to. If you are serious about making a change in your exercise routine but are not interested in the more egotistic aspects of being at a gym, then the Fitness Lair is for you.

What can I say about the fine professionals at UNICUS Fitness?
When I started working out in the facility at the end of 2007, I weighed 267 pounds. As of the time of this correspondence, I am 229 pounds. The classes that UNICUS provides are wonderful.I worked out on my own for years, but never have I experienced this type of result. The care that each of the trainers takes in facilitating the workout classes is exceptional.
I would strongly recommend to anyone to join UNICUS Fitness today; it will change your life.

In 4 months of doing the UNICUS Fitness Corporate Challenge, I have lost 50 pounds and have dropped from a pant size 40 to a 34. Back in October of 2008 (right before the holidays) I decided that I was going into the new year "2009" as a healthier person by excising every day and making better food choices.
While living a healthier life style, I have learned to make time for myself by spending 45 minutes or more (when possible) exercising every day (even on the weekends). Also, when I think I've reached my exercise limit, I challenge myself by going to a level higher or doing different exercises. In addition to exercising, I learned to "Eat to Live and not Live to Eat." What I mean but this is four things, 1. I eat only until I am satisfied, NOT STUFFED, 2. All of my meals are planned & prepared ahead of time, 3. I eat smaller portions and make healthier choices by eating food that fill me up and keep me satisfied longer such as; clean nutrient dense and high fiber-rich foods, and 4. I write down and track everything I eat and drink.
I decided to cut out all of the empty calories foods from my diet (fast foods, sweets, regular soda, etc.) and I focused on only eating clean nutrient dense foods. With exercising and eating properly, my energy is through the roof and I can't wait to get to the gym or outside to workout. When I added cardia workouts and healthier diet to my overall fitness plan, the change are incredible.
Bottom line, the most important thing I learned is "When losing weight, you don't have to be perfect - just be consistent"
