Wedding Crunch Time
The only quality time Rich Rogala spends with his fiance, Rita Kerins, is shared with about 18 other people and a trainer, jumping rope, doing push-ups and lifting weights. Three times a week, the Bucktown couple, who are getting married May 17, report to the Fitness Lair in downtown Chicago at 6 a.m. for wedding boot camp — a grueling hourlong workout consisting of a nonstop mix of strength and cardio exercises and done while a trainer barks out orders.
When the big day arrived, these Chicago couples wanted to look their best; they not only bonded but also built a healthy relationship on the foundation of healthy bodies.
